Macau Hurricane

Recently in America many people have lost cars and homes as a result of the hurricanes in Texas and Florida. Shortly before these occurred, a hurricane hit Hong Kong and Macau. People who live there said they had seen nothing like this in their life times.
Our mission society has been supporting Deaf Mission work in Macau for 14 years. Though the mission to God’s children has gone back nearly 6 decades. Local Lutheran staff members and missionaries have stayed in an apartment that is owned by Concordia School in Macau. This has been a blessing to many, as those who stay there do not need to pay for an expensive hotels. Currently we are in need of some renovations for this apartment. There is water damage and need for some renovations and simple furniture replacement.  Any donations to this project would be welcomed with thanksgiving.

Throughout the summer months on the 2nd and 4th Sunday(June—Aug) Our Savior and Christ the King deaf members and visitors meet at Salem Lutheran Church’s  Whalen lake Property in Hartland for service at 12:30 followed by fellowship. We range from 30-33 members and guests who come out to enjoy the beautiful property and chapel by the lake.
